Jane
Blalock joined the LPGA Tour in 1969 and was named LPGA Rookie
of the Year. It was the beginning of one of the great careers in the history
of women's professional golf. Jane went on to win 27 LPGA titles and more
than $1 million in prize money. She holds an amazing record of 299 consecutive
tournaments without missing a cut on Tour, a period that spanned 12 years
from her rookie year of 1969 to the last event of 1980. Jane began her
golf career at age 13 in her hometown of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She
had an outstanding amateur career, winning the New Hampshire Amateur four
consecutive years, and the New England Championship in 1968. Jane is now
the President of the Women's Senior Golf Tour, the Official Senior Tour
of the LPGA.
