Donato is entering his 13th season
in professional hockey and his second stint with the Boston Bruins organization.
The Boston native began his NHL career as a member of the Bruins following
the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in which he led the United States in scoring.
Donato then spent the next six years in a Bruins uniform, including three
seasons with 20 or more goals. Donato has also played in the New York
Islanders, Ottawa, Anaheim, Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis and New York
Rangers organizations. He split last season between the Rangers and their
AHL affiliate in Hartford. He has played 733 career NHL games, scoring
144 goals and 192 assists for 336 points. Before entering the NHL, Donato
played four seasons at Harvard University from 1987-1991 and captured
an NCAA championship with the Crimson in 1988-89. He played his high school
hockey at Catholic Memorial, winning two state championships.
