Bill Parcells is one of the greatest coaches in the history of professional football. His legacy was formed by his two Super Bowl championships with the New York Giants. He also stands out for his ability to rebuild struggling franchises, as he did with the Giants, the New England Patriots, and the New York Jets. He became Head Coach of the Patriots in 1993, inheriting a team coming off a 2-14 season. He took the Pats to Super Bowl XXXI in his fourth season in New England. In 1997, he took over a 1-15 New York Jets team and went 9-7 in his first season. In 1998, the Jets won their first AFC East title in 29 years, and advanced to the AFC championship game. He retired following the 1999 season with a career record of 149-106-1, including an 11-6 mark in postseason play. He is one of only four coaches to have taken two different teams to the Super Bowl. He now works as an analyst for ESPN and Sporting News Radio.
