Donny Marshall is a former basketball standout at the University of Connecticut who went on to enjoy a six-year NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Jersey Nets. A steady performer for Coach Jim Calhoun from 1991-95, Donny averaged 10 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Huskies and shot 47 percent in 121 career games. He was a second round pick of the Cavaliers (39th overall) in the 1995 NBA draft. He was also a member of the 2002 Eastern Conference champion Nets. A rising star in the world of broadcasting, Donny has served as a color commentator for ESPN’s coverage of college basketball. He will soon begin his second season as a member of the Boston Celtics telecast team on FSN New England, serving as an in-studio analyst alongside Gary Tanguay. A scratch golfer, Donny has appeared in several events on the Celebrity Players Tour.
